Pipex launches broadband services for SMEs

February 8, 2016

Pipex Business has launched new broadband services designed for small to medium-sized businesses.

The entry level ADSL2+ service is Pipex Lite, which costs £14.50 plus VAT per month, while the top of the range Premium+ service costs £49 plus VAT per month.

At the product launch, Lance Spencer, Pipex’s product and marketing director, highlighted the need for service reliability and quality support in the SME sector.

According to Spencer, only 23 percent of small businesses currently use business-grade ADSL, and over 40 percent of small businesses still use connections of 2Mbps or below.

The new Pipex Business services offer downlink speeds from 8Mbps to 16Mbps, with guaranteed minimum bandwidths of either 200Kbps or 500Kbps.

Customers also have round the clock access to a business-only support centre based in Stoke Mandeville, Buckinghamshire.

Pipex has also launched its Business Portal, a homepage for small business users which combines legal, HR and financial business resources with news, weather forecasts and tools such as currency converters.
